Spanish Banking Giant BBVA to Use the Google's Cloud Computing Service

In a biggest ever deal with deal between Google and a Company, Google has finally succeeded in persuading Spain's one of the largest  Banks BBVA to use it's Cloud Computing Service. The bank will now be using Google's tools for internal computation. BBVA bank has a staff of 111,000 that will be using Cloud service. However the costumer data and other key banking system would  remain on their own data centers and would be completely separate from cloud service.

What is Cloud Computing ?
Cloud computing is the delivery of computing as a service rather than a product.Cloud Computing is delivery model for IT services based on Internet protocols, and typically involves provisioning of dynamically scalable and often virtualized resources.

In Cloud shared resources, software, and information are provided to computers and other devices as a metered service over a network ( Internet).

Cloud computing is a technology that provides computation, software, data access, and storage services that do not require end-user knowledge of the physical location and configuration of the system that delivers the services. In a cloud computing web-based tools or applications  can be accessed by users and be used through a web browser as if the programs were installed locally on their own computers.

Advantages of Using Cloud Computing
  • Cheap: as IT provider host services for multiple companies;sharing complex infrastructure is cost-efficient and you pay only for what you actually use.
  • Quick
  • Up-to-date: Most providers constantly update their software offering, adding new features as they become available.
  • Scalable: Company can go large quickly because cloud systems are built to cope with sharp increases in workload.
  • Mobile: Cloud services are designed to be used from a distance through internet.
